Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of flatbedltl.com, operated by Comet National Shipping Company (“we,” “us”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this site is
FlatbedLTL is the flatbed-LTL brand of Comet National Shipping Company. This site describes our services and lets you request a quote. It is informational — using it does not create a shipping contract, book capacity, or reserve deck space.
Quotes and freight contracts
A quote request submitted through this site is a request, not a booking. A shipment is only under contract once we confirm it in writing and you accept.
The terms governing an actual freight movement — rates, liability limits, claims procedures, accessorial charges, and cargo coverage — are set by the rate confirmation, bill of lading, and any carrier or broker agreement between us, not by this website. Where anything on this site conflicts with those documents, those documents control.
Pricing examples, charge explanations, and cost comparisons on this site (including in our guides and blog) are illustrative. They describe how charges generally work in the industry and are not an offer, a rate quote, or a guarantee of what your shipment will cost.
Accuracy of the information you give us
Freight is priced on dimensions, weight, and handling requirements. You are responsible for describing your shipment accurately. Inaccurate or incomplete information can change the price, the equipment required, or whether we can move the load at all.
Educational content
Our guides explain freight concepts in plain English — securement, working load limits, accessorial charges, mode selection. They are general education, not engineering advice, legal advice, or a compliance determination for your specific load. Securement and transport of your freight remain subject to applicable DOT, FMCSA, and state regulations, and to the judgment of the professionals handling the shipment.
